How to Prepare for KEA JE Civil 2026
- 1Rank comes only from Paper-1 + Paper-2 (200 marks). Paper-2 is pure diploma civil — 14 units from materials to estimation — so it decides most ranks.
- 2Never leave an OMR row blank: an unshaded question costs 0.25, the same as a wrong answer. If you want to skip a question, shade the 5th circle.
- 3Paper-1 is Karnataka-heavy: history and geography 'with special reference to Karnataka', the state's administration, its economy, rural development, Panchayat Raj and co-operatives, and its environmental problems.
- 4Clear the Kannada test (8 January 2027) unless you are exempt — failing it ends the selection however well you do in the papers.
- 5One exam serves both notifications and all three posts. Fill your post and department options carefully at counselling; the order you choose is used for allotment.
