Junior Engineer — desirable skills

  • Working knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning, MEP, and maintenance of a research and academic campus with a population of 1,500 or more.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, construction management and project management software.

Selection process

  • Selection among shortlisted candidates is on the basis of the interview; the institute may hold an objective, skill test or presentation before the interview for further shortlisting.
  • All eligible candidates must appear for a written test and/or interview — come prepared for a stay of at least two days.

Eligibility rules

  • Qualifications, experience and age are counted as on 09.11.2026 (23:55 hrs).
  • Age relaxation and reservation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD/Ex-servicemen follow Central Government rules; OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be issued on or after 01.04.2026.
  • Candidates working in Government, autonomous bodies or PSUs must give a No Objection Certificate and a Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
  • Pay is the basic pay of the level with DA, HRA and other allowances; the National Pension Scheme applies.
