Eligibilitynotification p. 22
- Unmarried male engineering graduates; a candidate may not marry during training.
- Age 20 to 27 years on 01.07.2027 — born not earlier than 01.07.2000 and not later than 30.06.2007, as recorded in the Matriculation certificate.
- Final-year students may apply if their final result is declared by 01.07.2027; they join on an additional bond and must produce the degree within 12 weeks of the start of training.
- Any mismatch between the stream name on the degree/marksheet and the one entered in the application cancels the candidature. Foreign degrees are not accepted.

- Applications are shortlisted stream-wise on the cumulative percentage of marks (up to the 6th semester for final-year students) against a cut-off.
- Shortlisted candidates attend a two-stage SSB interview of up to five days at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru or Jalandhar; Stage-1 failures return the same day.
- Recommended candidates undergo a medical examination; the merit list is on SSB marks, stream-wise, up to the vacancies.
- Physical standards to reach before joining: 2.4 km run in 10 min 30 s, 40 push-ups, 6 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups, squats 2×30, lunges 2×10, and swimming fundamentals.

- About 12 months of training at IMA Dehradun at government cost, with a fixed stipend of ₹56,100 a month.
- Permanent Commission as a Lieutenant on completion, with one year of ante-date seniority for engineering graduates.
- Pay Level 10 (₹56,100–1,77,500) for a Lieutenant, plus Military Service Pay and allowances; promotion to Captain after 2 years and Major after 6 years.
- A cadet withdrawn for reasons other than medical must refund the training cost at about ₹20,482 per week.

- Register and apply online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in → Officers Selection Eligibility → Technical Graduate Course; Aadhaar and the Matriculation certificate are mandatory.
- The application window is 30.09.2026, 15:00 hrs to 29.10.2026, 15:00 hrs; only one application per candidate.
- Take two printouts with the roll number 30 minutes after the application closes; carry one with original certificates to the SSB. No hard copy is posted.
- First-time SSB candidates get AC-III tier rail fare (or bus fare) both ways.
