Tigress Zeenat, translocated from Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (Maharashtra) to Similipal Tiger Reserve (Odisha) two years ago, recently delivered four cubs. This aids conservation efforts to address a genetic mutation causing pseudo-melanism, characterized by dense, merging stripes, in Similipal's tiger population.
